What are the ages of children you accept?
ABC Child Care & Learning Center accepts infants, toddlers and children ages 12 weeks up to 12 years old. 

Are the children required to be potty trained before they start at the center?
No.  We only ask parents to communicate with us when they start potty training their children so we can do the same at the center.

What physical activities do you offer?
We offer music and movement in the classroom and a fully equipped playground. Times are indicated on our classroom daily schedule. 

Do you go on field trips?
Yes.  Field trips are planned in advance and parents are informed ahead of time.  

What discipline methods do you use?
ABC Child Care & Learning Center uses positive techniques of discipline. Praise and encouragement are given for good behavior. However, if a child is unable to act in accordance with established rules and manners, he or she may need to be temporarily placed in time out.

What is your exercise philosophy?
ABC Child Care & Learning Center believes that exercise improves learning.  That’s why we value physical fitness and being active at our center!

When does the school year start and end?
Our full day programs are open all year long. We are open weekdays from 6:30 am until 12 midnight.

How much does it cost to enroll?
Child care costs will vary based on your situation. Cost will be impacted by the number of hours and days per week that your child will be with us as well as your child's age. To learn more about tuition rates, please email the Center Director for more information.

What is your child to staff ratio?
Our child to staff ratio is in accordance with the Alabama Minimum standards

How long have you been open?  
ABC Child Care & Learning Center was established in April of 2001. 

What are your teacher's qualifications?
Each member of our staff receives ongoing professional development training in: Child Development, Health & Safety, Language Development, and positive discipline guidance. Staff are also certified in CPR and First Aid. Background checks are conducted by the FBI, ABI and The Central Registry for Child Abuse & Neglect.

How do parents get involved with the center?
Parents are welcome to come and volunteer to help at the center anytime.  We have an open door policy, and you can come anytime to see how your child is doing.
